Roland Hi-Fi JET PRO II FJ-540
Ever feel like you've been waiting all day for a print? Not with the Hi-Fi JET PRO II. It can print up to 28 m2/hr (300 sqft/hr). That's not draft mode; that's a unique, sign-quality mode created by Roland especially for sign, exhibit and POP makers! Printing a large 1.3 x 5 m banner now takes only 14 minutes. But blazing print speed is only part of the story. The PRO II's remarkable production velocity is the result of numerous technological enhancements.
Six one-inch precision heads cover a large printing area while firing 360 nozzles per color.
Hi-Fi JET PRO II supports Ethernet 100Base-TX networks for high-speed data transfer and workgroup operation. Included with the Hi-Fi JET PRO II, the new, more powerful software RIP has been designed especially for the PRO II family.*1) The RIP engine incorporates more horsepower and efficiency for faster data processing. The RIP also provides more powerful simultaneous RIP&Print capabilities to speed up your daily operation.
*1) The software RIP is compatible with Windows® 2000/XP as a network server or stand-alone,and Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP as network client.
The Hi-Fi JET PRO II combines Piezo print heads, accurately providing precise droplets and variable droplet technology to achieve stunning color reproduction. The crisp detail and high fidelity of the Hi-Fi JET PRO II's true 1440 x 1440 dpi resolution make it ideal for enlargements of fine art, photography, or mural-size graphics. Downy soft hairs, finely textured human skin - these are but a sample of the Hi-Fi JET PRO II's amazing ability to reproduce photographic quality.
Variable droplet technology utilizes micro-precise ink droplets of three different sizes depending on the type of output. This state-of-the-art technology delivers truly breathtaking output with beautifully smooth and dot-free tones even at high speed. In combination with the RIP, variable droplet technology delivers truly uncompromising quality for the most discerning applications.
Included in the RIP, IntelligentPrintControl delivers a major advance in printing quality combined with unbelievable ease-of-use. All you need to do is select the media, preferred print quality and speed from the menu. IntelligentPrintControl automatically determines the optimum dot size, dot combinations, dot placement, tone curve, and the proper amount of ink for each individual media.
Designed to maximize performance of the Hi-Fi JET PRO II, the RIP provides professional quality printing including precision color management. The RIP is PostScript compatible, making the Hi-Fi JET PRO II easy to use with Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe® Illustrator®, Macromedia FreeHand®, QuarkXPress™ and other popular graphics software.
The Hi-Fi JET PRO II offers a choice of 6-color printing. CMYK plus light cyan (Lc) and light magenta (Lm) is ideal for faithfully reproducing skin tones, soft pastels and metallic surfaces with superb, natural color gradations. CMYK plus orange (Or) and green (Gr) delivers unrivaled color gamut and the ability to match spot colors with confidence. The Hi-Fi JET PRO II uses two 220 cc ink cartridges per color.
*2) LcLm and OrGr inks cannot be used simultaneously.
Another key to the stunning color produced by the PRO II is our Roland pigment ink which offers a combination of exceptionally bright color as well as UV stability. It ensures that your posters and signs maintain their beauty longer, even outdoors*4). For vivid printing of short-term indoor signs and banners, Roland also offers dye ink*5).
*3) Pigmented and dye-based inks cannot be used simultaneously.
*4) Lamination is required to protect output from abrasion, acid rain or other harsh environmental conditions.
*5) Dye-based ink is available in CMYK plus LcLm only.
